FAMILY DATA:

Ken: Nickname is "Wellso." Born on 13 September 1947 in Vancouver,
Washington. Raised on a dairy farm in Ridgefield, Washington fifteen
miles north of Vancouver. Attended Ridgefield schools and graduated
from high school in June 1965. Attended the University of Washington in
Seattle for three years. Took courses in Aeronautical and Astronautical
Engineering (BA). Graduated in June 1969.

Met wife-to-be, Candace R. Osborne in April 1969 at school. Attended
Air Force Officers Training School August 1969-November 1969. Married
Candy in November 1969. Attended Pilot Training at Webb AFB, Texas
until December 1970. Took F4 training at George AFB, California from
March 1971-September 1971.

Left for Udorn, Thailand 1 November 1971. Arrived at Udorn 9 November
1971 with the 13th Tactical Fighter Squadron. Ran out of fuel on my 9th
mission north of Haipong, Vietnam on 18 December 1971. My other crew
member was Lee Hildebrand.

Candy: Born 29 March 1948 in Olympia, Washington. Met Ken on a blind date
during Spring Quarter of his senior year at the University of Washington
in April 1969. Candy was seven and a half months pregnant with their son
Kevin when Ken left for Udorn.

Kevin: Born 23 December 1971, five days after Ken went down. Kevin is the
cutest kid in the world and already plays basketball at seventeen months.
