It's really hard to understand what life in a prison camp is really like
unless you've experienced it. The most vivid explanation cannot be expressed
in a few words, but I can say that I've experienced much in the last few
years. I've learned much about myself and my country; enough to really know
what my country and its people mean to me

There could have been no greater show of a people's love for their country
than the welcome they gave to us upon our return, and I will be forever
grateful to them for it, for giving me a new life, a life without cause to
suffer or to look, with great expectation, toward a more meaningful future,
only to find none No, that is all over and now I do have a future well worth
the sacrifice, a future with which I pray God I may only use in the service
of my country and to the avail of the magnificent people that make America the
great country it is and shall always be.
