MICHAEL F. O'CONNOR
Chief Warrant Officer 2 - United States Army
Shot Down: February 4, 1968
Released: March 5, 1973
People like you are the hope of America-and of the world. Because you cared
enough about someone else, you helped bring an end to many years of suffering
for us former POW's.
We live in the most influential nation in the world, and your active concern
for what this nation does, affects people throughout the world. There are
prisoners of war, who have no hope for a repatriation - for they live in a
nation of war. I hope that your humanitarian concern for me and the other
POW's isn't limited to our own national borders, and that you'll continue to
serve our country and all of humanity by your continued interest in the
welfare of others so that, hopefully, some day, we'll be able to free all of
the POW's.
Thank YOU for bringing me home.
God Bless Americans.
