I came on actice duty 1 January 1953. My total flying time is 4900 hours
4000 hours of which is jet fighter time and I have flown T-6, T-33, F-86F
and F-105. I have served in Japan Okinawa Germany and Southeast Asia. My
wife is HernyEtta and we have a son Stephen A. Madison.
The following message is the statement I delivered upon my arrival at March
AFB California on 8 March 1973:
We thrill you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, thoughts, and
actions on the behalf of our return. We always knew that you would not forget
us or leave us in that foreign land. Every minute we tried to live up to
your expectations, and our thoughts were always of God, family and the honor
of America. God Bless America! Thank you."

Thomas Madison retired from the United States Air Force as a Colonel in
November of 1983. He and his wife Henryetta reside in Texas. They have one
son, and 4 grandchilden.
