REMARKS: POSS KIA DURING CAPTURE

John Clark had flown more than sixty missions over North Vietnam when he
and pilot Edwin Goodrich were downed by AAA on 12 March 1967 in western Hoa
Binh Province in North Vietnam. Both ejected, Goodwin was injured. Clark was
captured almost immediately by swarms of militia. Clark remained in North
Vietnam for almost six years during which time he contracted malaria. Edwin
Clark was released on February 18, 1973.

Goodrich was not so lucky. Although records indicated his survival after
capture was unlikely due to his injuries, his remains were not returned home
until August 14, 1985.
